Priya Mehta, MD is a Philadelphia allergist and immunologist treating allergies, asthma, and eczema in children and adults. She is board certified in pediatrics and board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She completed her allergy and immunology training at Nemours / A.I. duPont Hospital for Children / Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and her pediatric training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She received her medical and bachelor’s degrees from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Mehta has presented at the national level and has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Her publications include “Pediatric Provider Knowledge of Early Peanut Introduction Recommendations” (2020) and “Mealtime Behavior Among Parents and their Young Children with Food Allergy” (2017), both in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Mehta enjoys working together with patients and families to improve their quality of life in a way that is best for them. She is excited to have the ability to offer individualized therapies to her patients based on their needs and the newest research. She has a special interest in the prevention of food allergy, which starts with an infant’s first bites. Dr. Mehta wants to learn about how her patients’ environments may be impacting their health and hopes to help them live fulfilling lives that are not hindered by their allergic diseases.
